About the Role
This is a remote, work from home position that is a six-month temporary contract. The position works Monday - Friday, 8:30 - 5:30.
Position Summary:
Responsible for various financial activities including subrogation data pull and analysis, cash receipts, cash and refund postings, member reconciliations, and responds to liens or subpoenas as required.
Maintains daily correspondence and documentation with internal and external
parties.
Responsible for responding to internal and external inquiries. Assists the department with special projects as needed.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Works independently within established procedures and performs advanced and complex finance/accounting functions including corresponding/processing subpoenas from attorneys, record requestors while maintaining tight deadlines.
2. Performs member account reconciliations and handle member calls related to billing.
3. Process cash receipts, cash posting to member/group accounts and provider refund posting.
4. Maintains information related to subrogation including record requests, liens, subpoenas, submissions to outside vendor and follow-up activities.
5. Completes quarterly Third-Party Liability reporting, maintains associated information and collaborates with the Recoveries Department.
6. Researches and coordinates the collection and analysis of data related to departmental responsibilities.
7. Ability to resolve customer or member complaints with independent thought and in a courteous manner.
8. Generates specific reports for internal/external use.
9. Completes filing, data entry, logging of all departmental documentation and processes are assigned.
10. Other duties as assigned or when necessary to maintain efficient operations of the department and the Company as a whole.
Requirements
• High school diploma
• One (1) year experience in accounting or financial related functions (i.e. accounts payable/receivable, payroll, billing)
Preferred:
• Associates degree in Accounting or Finance
• One (1) year experience in Managed Care Finance Accounting Specialist JobÂ
