About the Role
Position Overview:
The Family Advocate is responsible for assisting national clients and members using various communication platforms and service models. This position requires an intensive in-office training period. Upon successful completion of training, the position will transition to a remote work environment. The Family Advocate will be instrumental in ensuring member engagement and providing valuable education on healthcare benefits.
Primary Responsibilities:
Communicate benefit design packages to members as defined by the employer.
Engage with members through verbal and written communication to ensure optimal member interaction.
Interpret plan benefit designs, resolve claims, benefit, and enrollment issues while fostering a personal connection with each member.
Assist in increasing member engagement with appropriate healthcare programs and services.
Serve as a trusted educator, addressing healthcare-related inquiries and providing accurate, clear information.
Additional Information:
Initial in-office training is required for this role.
Post-training, the position will transition to remote work.
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Requirements
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in healthcare customer service, or any combination of education and experience that provides an equivalent background.
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) preferred.
Experience resolving high-level and sensitive customer service issues is highly preferred.
